Matchmaker began with three partners, one shared conversation and the decision to build a company from the ground up — or, as we say locally, “from a paperclip.” We wanted to create a marketing agency dedicated to small and medium-sized businesses: different in its thinking, practical in its approach and accessible to every company with the ambition to grow.

Our name emerged while we were speaking with a potential client about the platform where their business should be represented. We realized that good marketing is not simply about being present everywhere. It is about finding the right match between a company, its message, the right channel and the people it wants to reach.

That idea led us to the Macedonian word strojnik — a matchmaker. “Matchmaker” became our name, while “Marketer” made our purpose unmistakable: we do not match people with people; we match brands with opportunities, audiences and the marketing solutions that fit them best.

We started from zero, but with a clear belief that effective marketing should not be reserved only for the largest companies. That belief still guides every partnership we build today.
